As a carnivore, it requires a diet of meaty foods including Mysis shrimp. While considered reef safe this small predator will hunt smaller fish and crustaceans which it views as prey. Reaching a maximum size of 4 inches, the Pygmy Rooster Waspfish can comfortably live in a minimum tank size of 30 gallons, providing an engaging and colorful addition to marine aquariums.
