From Biota!
Biota’s captive-bred mandarins are incredibly beautiful in coloration and readily feed on prepared diets. Wild caught mandarins are poor aquarium inhabitants and an overwhelming number die in the aquarium trade each year even in ideal conditions. Since mandarins are a cryptic species in the wild often hiding in cervices or rockwork many are captured using needle spear guns or cyanide, both of which are harmful for the animal. Mandarins, although small, are a peaceful reef inhabitant that can stave off predatory fish with a toxic mucus coat. Feeding on TDO B2, PE Hatchery pellet 400 μm, PE Calanus, V2O Cyclops
